What is so special about 'Napoli Nights'? The leaves are coated in a shimmering metallic-silver finish that shifts with the angle — just like silver foliage. Underneath the leaf lies a deep burgundy-red underside that is revealed whenever the breeze catches it. This hybrid cultivar, developed in Bolivia, combines dramatic aesthetics with exceptional ease of care. A slow grower — each new leaf is an event.

✨ How to maintain the metallic sheen? ▼

The silver-metallic shine is the plant's most unique feature — and direct sun is its greatest enemy. Intense direct light will fade and oxidize the silver pigments, turning the leaves a plain green.

Ideal location: West window (soft afternoon light) or north window (diffused light). Wipe the leaves gently with a damp cloth once a month — this removes dust and restores the shimmer.

Do not spray directly on the leaves — water that dries on the silver creates lime spots and dulls the sheen.

🌱 Soil, Fertilizing, and Repotting ▼

Soil: Well-draining mix — standard potting soil with 20–25% perlite. Good drainage is essential.

Fertilizing: Balanced liquid fertilizer once every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring–summer), at half-strength. Do not fertilize in winter.

Repotting: Every 2–3 years — it is a slow grower and likes to be a bit snug. A pot that is too large = more moisture = rot.
