Growing Conditions

☀️ Lighting

Bright, indirect light - just like in the rainforest! An east or north-facing window is ideal. Avoid direct sun - it can scorch the leaves. The more light, the more flowers! Too little light = fewer blooms.

💧 Watering

Water when 50% of the soil is dry. Pour until water drains out and empty the saucer! Yellow tips = overwatering. Brown tips = underwatering. Reduce significantly in winter. Do not let the soil dry out completely!

💨 Humidity

Loves high humidity! 60-80% is ideal. A bathroom is a paradise! Solutions: pebble tray with water, humidifier, daily misting, grouping plants together. High humidity = richer flowering!

🌡️ Temperature

18-27°C is ideal - loves warmth! Not below 15°C! Cold stops growth and damages the leaves. Keep away from AC, heaters, and cold windows in winter. Stable temperature = happy plant.

Common Problems and Solutions

🌸 No flowering

Most common reason: lack of light! Move to a brighter spot (but no direct sun). Fertilize with a phosphorus-rich fertilizer in spring-summer. Ensure enough humidity in the air.

💛 Yellow leaves

Usually overwatering! Check that the soil dries between waterings. Excessive fertilizer can also cause yellow spots. Reduce watering and fertilizing.

🟤 Brown tips

Sign of too low humidity or underwatering. Solution: increase humidity (misting, pebble tray), ensure regular watering. Hard water (with chlorine) can also cause this.

💦 Root rot

About the Plant

Anthurium is one of the most impressive houseplants, known for its unique heart-shaped "flowers." It originates from the tropical rainforests of Central and South America and the Caribbean, where it grows as an epiphyte (on trees).

The secret of the flowers: What appears to be a "flower" is actually a colorful waxy leaf called a "spathe," and in its center is a spadix, upon which the tiny, true flowers are located. The bloom can last for 2-3 months!

Colors: Red (the classic), pink, white, purple, orange, and even green and black! The vivid colors make it a star in any room.

Longevity: With proper care, the Anthurium can live up to 10 years and bloom again and again every spring and summer. It is a slow-growing plant that grows about 10 cm per year and reaches a height of about 30-40 cm.
