☀️ Lighting

Bright indirect light - ideal. But it also tolerates low light! Perfect for shaded corners, windowless offices, bathrooms. In low light, it will bloom less but remain beautiful. Avoid direct sunlight - it burns the leaves.

💧 Watering

Keep evenly moist. Water when the top inch of soil is dry. The plant shows when it's thirsty - the leaves "droop"! It recovers within hours after watering. Tip: Use filtered water - it is sensitive to chlorine and fluoride.

💨 Humidity

Loves high humidity! 50%+ is ideal. Mist the leaves, place on a pebble tray, or use a humidifier. Kitchens or bathrooms are perfect spots!

🌡️ Temperature

Standard room temperature. 18-27°C (65-80°F) is ideal. Sensitive to cold and drafts! Do not let it drop below 12°C. Keep away from air conditioners, cold windows in winter, and air vents.

Common Issues & Solutions

🥀 Drooping/limp leaves

The classic sign of thirst! The Spathiphyllum is dramatic and shows when it's thirsty. Simply water it - it will recover within hours. If it doesn't recover - check the roots (could be root rot from overwatering).

💛 Yellow leaves

Could be overwatering (the most common cause!), underwatering, or simply old leaves being replaced. Check your watering schedule. Old leaves yellowing is natural.

🟤 Brown tips

Usually due to: low humidity, water with chlorine/fluoride, or over-fertilizing. Mist the leaves, use filtered water, reduce fertilization.

🌸 No blooming

Usually due to too little light. Move to a brighter spot (but no direct sun!). Lack of fertilizer can also cause this - fertilize in spring and summer.

🕊️ Why "Peace Lily"?

The white flowers that rise above the green foliage look like white flags of peace. The flower consists of two parts: the spathe (the white leaf) and the spadix (the spike in the middle). Despite the name, it's not a true lily, but belongs to the Araceae family (like Monstera and Philodendron).

✂️ Care & Maintenance

Pruning: Remove yellow or damaged leaves at the base. Cut wilted flower stalks close to the soil.
Cleaning: Wipe the leaves with a damp cloth occasionally - it keeps them glossy and helps photosynthesis.
Repotting: Every 1-2 years, when roots emerge from the drainage hole. Choose a pot 2-5 cm larger.
