☀️ Lighting

Bright indirect light - ideal. But tolerates low light too! Perfect for shady corners, windowless offices, bathrooms. In low light - will bloom less but will remain beautiful. Avoid direct sun - burns the leaves.

💧 Irrigation

Maintain uniform moisture. Water when the top inch of soil is dry. The plant shows when it is thirsty - the leaves "fall"! After watering - recovers within hours. Tip: Use filtered water - sensitive to chlorine and fluoride.

💨 Humidity

Likes high humidity! 50%+ is ideal. Spray the leaves, place on a pebble tray, or use a humidifier. Kitchen or bathroom - perfect places!

🌡️ Temperature

Normal room temperature. 18-27°C ideal. Sensitive to cold and drafts! Do not drop below 12°C. Keep away from air conditioners, cold windows in winter, and air vents.

Common problems and solutions

🥀 Falling/loose leaves

The classic sign of thirst! The dramatic and showy septiphyllum when thirsty. Simply water it - it will recover within hours. If it doesn't recover - check the roots (maybe rot from overwatering).

💛 Yellow leaves

It could be overwatering (the most common cause!), underwatering , or simply old leaves that are changing. Check the watering schedule. Old leaves that are turning yellow - this is natural.

🟤 Brown edges

Most often due to: low humidity , chlorinated/fluorinated water , or over-fertilization . Spray the leaves, use filtered water, reduce fertilization.

🌸 Not blooming

Usually due to too low lighting . Move to a brighter location (but not direct sun!). Lack of fertilization can also cause - fertilize in spring and summer.

🕊️ Why the "Peace Rose"?

The white flowers that rise above the green foliage look like white flags of peace . The flower consists of two parts: the spathe (the white leaf) and the spadix (the bract in the middle). Despite the name - this is not a true lily but belongs to the lupine family (like Monstera and Philodendron).

✂️ Care and maintenance

Pruning: Remove yellow or damaged leaves at the base. Cut off wilted flower stalks close to the ground.
Cleaning: Wipe the leaves with a damp cloth occasionally - maintains the shine and helps photosynthesis.
Pot replacement: Every 1-2 years, when the roots come out of the drainage. Choose a pot 2-5 cm larger.

Size: Most domestic varieties - 40-60 cm. There are larger varieties (like 'Sensation') that reach 1.5 meters!
