🌿
Monstera in a compact version. The Monstera Minima (botanical name Rhaphidophora tetrasperma) is not a true Monstera — but its perforated leaves look like a miniature Monstera Deliciosa. It originates from Southeast Asia, climbs using aerial roots, and grows very fast — a new leaf every few weeks during the growing season. With a moss pole, it will climb straight up, creating an impressive green pillar without taking up much floor space.
🧗 Support — A coco pole changes everything▼

In nature, the Monstera Minima climbs tree trunks using aerial roots. At home — a damp coco pole mimics these conditions and encourages larger, more perforated leaves.

Without support: The plant will grow as a trailing vine — beautiful as well, but the leaves will remain smaller with fewer holes.

With support: The plant will climb straight up, create large perforated leaves, and take up very little horizontal space — ideal for small spaces.

🌱 Soil, Fertilizing, and Repotting▼

Soil: Well-draining aroid mix — houseplant soil with perlite and bark. Rich in organic matter.

Fertilizing: Balanced liquid fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring–summer). Do not fertilize a stressed plant — always water first.

Repotting: The plant doesn't mind being a bit crowded — annual repotting is not necessary. When roots grow out of the drainage holes — that is the time to go up 2–3 cm in pot size.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this plant suitable for beginners? +
Absolutely — one of the easiest and most popular aroids for beginners. It grows fast, is forgiving of imperfect watering, and displays impressive leaves in a short time.
What is the difference between Monstera Minima and a regular Monstera? +
Monstera Minima is not a Monstera species at all — it is Rhaphidophora tetrasperma, from a different but related family. The leaves look similar (perforated, green, glossy) but remain much smaller — up to 12–15 cm. The growth is much faster and much easier than the classic Monstera.
The new leaves are coming out small and yellow — what happened? +
The plant likely isn't getting enough light. Move it to a brighter spot — new leaves will return to their normal size and healthy green color. Old leaves that have already yellowed won't turn green again, but new ones will be healthy.
Does the plant come in a pot? +

The plant comes in a plastic nursery pot — and our recommendation is to leave it there for the first month to acclimate. A nursery pot provides optimal drainage and aeration.

We have a large selection of decorative planters and pots in the store — you can add them to your order.
