Sedum (Stonecrop) is a family of exceptionally hardy succulents that thrive almost anywhere! With over 600 species in various shapes, sizes, and colors—from low-growing ground cover to tall shrubs with spectacular blooms. Their fleshy leaves store water, making them remarkably drought-tolerant and easy to care for. They are the champions of rock gardens and green roofs!

🌱 Growing Conditions

Light: Full sun is ideal! Tolerates partial shade (with less blooming)
Watering: Very little! Let the soil dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering is the main issue.
Temperature: Most varieties are cold-hardy (-20°C and above!) and resistant to extreme heat.
Soil: Well-draining is essential! Lean, rocky soil is excellent. Does not like rich soil.
Fertilizer: Hardly needed! A light feeding in spring if desired.
Pruning: Remove dead flowers. Some varieties die back in winter and regenerate in spring.
Propagation: Very easy! A single leaf or small branch roots easily.
