Full sun - essential! Minimum 6 hours of direct sun per day. More sun = more flowers! Shade - the plant grows longer and blooms less. In very hot areas - light shade at noon can help.
💧 Irrigation
Maintain constant moisture - not too wet and not too dry. In the ground - once a week deeply. In pots - more often! In hot summer - even every day. Do not leave standing water.
🌱 Earth
Well-drained and fertile! Improve soil with compost or organic matter. Neutral to slightly acidic pH. In pots - a quality mix with good drainage.
🌡️ Temperature
Loves heat! Ideal 21-27°C during the day, 13-18°C at night. Does not tolerate frost! Grows as an annual in most areas. Plant after all danger of frost has passed.

Lack of sun! Move to a location with 6+ hours of sun. Lack of fertilization can also cause poor flowering. Cut long stems in half - it will recover!

🦠 Mold/petal rot
Caused by high humidity and rain. Do not wet leaves and flowers! Water at the base of the plant. Improve ventilation, keep plants away from dense areas.

Aphids - spray with potassium soap or a strong stream of water. Snails - remove manually or use bait. The plant is relatively resistant to pests.
