Lighting

Highly flexible! - Full sun to partial shade. Prefers at least 6 hours of light per day for optimal growth, but will manage with less.

Watering

First year: Regular! - Water 2-3 times a week until established. Afterwards - once a week in summer, less in winter. Relatively drought-tolerant but do not let it dry out completely.

Soil

Prefers moist, well-drained soil. Grows in any soil type - sandy, clay, even slightly alkaline. The most important thing: good drainage!

Hardiness

Tolerates extreme cold (down to -40°C!) and local heat. Tolerates air pollution and winds. Perfect for the Israeli climate.

Pruning

Prune in spring or late summer. Shape as needed - it maintains its columnar shape. Do not prune into old wood (it will not regrow from brown wood).
