Bright indirect light - a north or east window is ideal. Avoid direct sun which may burn the leaves. Blooms beautifully even under fluorescent lighting 12-14 hours a day!
Irrigation
Water from below! Place the pot in a saucer of water for 20-30 minutes. Avoid wetting the leaves! Water when the soil is dry to the touch, usually every 5-7 days.

Ideal: 18-24°C. Normal room temperature is fine. Keep away from cold drafts and air conditioners. Sensitive to cold - not below 15°C.

Likes high humidity (50-60%). Place on a pebble tray with water or near other plants. Do not spray on the leaves! - causes spots.

📜 A little history
Discovered in 1892 in Tanzania by Baron Walter von Saint Paul - hence the scientific name Saintpaulia! Despite the name, it is not a true violet but belongs to the Gesneriaceae family. One of the most popular flowering houseplants in the world.
💡 Pro tip
Very easy to propagate! Simply cut a healthy leaf with the stem, plant in moist soil or water, and within 3-4 weeks small plants will develop at the base. This way you can get new plants for free or give as gifts!
