A small, colorful cactus made of two cacti joined together: a colorful top sphere in red, pink, orange, or yellow, and a green rootstock that supports it. Comes in an 8 or 10 cm diameter nursery pot. The color and appearance are selected from our stock at the time of packing, so they may differ from the example shown in the image.

The colored part (the scion) is typically a variety of Gymnocalycium mihanovichii which lacks chlorophyll - hence it is not green and cannot produce food on its own. It is grafted onto a green rootstock, usually a dragon fruit cactus (Hylocereus), which performs photosynthesis and sustains it. This graft is an integral part of the plant: do not separate the scion from the rootstock during care or repotting.
