1
โ˜€๏ธ Location selection
Choose a bright spot - chamomile loves full sun! A balcony, garden, or a south-facing window sill.
2
๐Ÿชด Preparing the soil
Fill a planter/bed with well-drained soil. Not too heavy or too wet! Chamomile likes dry, aerated soil.
3
๐ŸŒฑ Sowing
Gently scatter the seeds only half a centimeter deep. The seeds are tiny!
4
๐Ÿชด Cover
Cover with a very thin layer of soil. Press gently.
5
๐Ÿ’ง First watering
Water very gently! The seeds are small and may move. A spray is best.
6
๐ŸŒฟ Germination and thinning
Germination is fast! After the sprouts appear - thin them out a little to maintain distance.
7
๐Ÿ’ง Regular watering
Only 2-3 times a week! Chamomile does not like excess water. Let the soil dry out between waterings.
8
๐ŸŒผ Picking!
About 40 days from sowing - the flowers are ready! Pick when they are fully open and their colors are sharp . Recommended in the morning!
Tips for success
๐ŸŒ… Morning picking
It is recommended to harvest flowers in the morning when they are especially fresh and fragrant!
๐Ÿƒ Proper drying
To dry - spread in a shady, ventilated, dry place. Store in an airtight jar.
โœ‚๏ธ Pruning to encourage flowering
When the flowers fade - light pruning encourages more blooms! That way you'll get more and more flowers.
๐Ÿ’ง A little water!
Chamomile does not like excess water! It is better to have too little than too much. Let the soil dry out.
๐ŸŒฟ Cover plant
Suitable for planting as a delicate ground cover plant - creates a beautiful floral carpet!
๐Ÿ Pollinator-friendly
Chamomile attracts bees and butterflies - great for a spice garden and for pollinating vegetables!
