Loves moisture! - Keep soil moist but not flooded. Do not let it dry out completely. In a pot - check every day or two.

Not picky! Any rich, moist soil with reasonable drainage. Likes fertile soil - you can add compost.

📍 Note on safety
According to the ASPCA, peppermint contains essential oils that can cause vomiting and diarrhea in large amounts. Small amounts are usually safe - many dog treats even contain peppermint to freshen breath! Concentrated peppermint oil is toxic - keep away from pets.
💡 Pro tip
Important warning: Mint is very invasive! It spreads through underground roots and can take over the entire garden. Solution: Grow in a separate pot or plant in the garden with a plastic/metal barrier around the roots (at least 30 cm deep). Thank me later! 😉
