Sowing Guide - Step by Step

🪨 Preparing the soil - critical!
Prepare deep, aerated, and soft soil. The carrots need room to grow downward! Remove stones and clumps - they cause deformed carrots.

📐 Creating slots
Make shallow grooves only half a centimeter deep. Space the rows 20 centimeters apart.

🌱 Seed dispersal
Gently scatter the seeds along the groove. You can scatter them densely - thin them out later!

🪴 Cover
Cover with a thin layer of soil and press lightly . Do not bury deeply!

💧 First watering
Water gently! So as not to move the seeds. A spray or drip is best.

✂️ Dilution - Important!
After the sprouts appear - thin to 10 cm intervals . This is critical for large, beautiful cuttings!

💧 Moisture maintenance
Maintain consistent moisture - not too much and not too little. Dryness/excess water = cracked carrots!

🥕 Picking!
When the leaves are strong and the carrot head is peeking out of the ground (about 60 days) - pull gently! Tip: Water before picking to make it easier to pull.
Tips for success
🪨 Soft soil = critical!
Do not plant in lumpy soil! Stones and lumps cause distorted and split cuttings. Loosen and rake the soil before sowing.
💧 Constant humidity
Maintain uniform moisture! Dryness or excess water = cracked carrots. Watering in the morning supports uniform growth.
🔄 Continuous seeding
For continuous growth - reseed every 2-3 weeks! That way you will always have fresh carrots.
🏺 Deep planters
You can grow them in pots - just make sure they are extra deep! At least 30 cm deep for regular cuttings.
✂️ Dilution is important!
Don't skip the thinning! Carrots that are too dense will be small and thin . 10 cm between each carrot.
🧅 Successful combinations
Onions and carrots = perfect neighbors! The smell repels carrot flies and onion flies from each other. Garlic and dill are also excellent.
