☀️ Lighting

Full sun to partial shade. For best flowering - full sun. But the foliage is more beautiful and shiny in partial shade! In very hot areas - partial shade is recommended for best appearance.

💧 Irrigation

Moderate. Water when the soil begins to dry out. Do not overwater! After establishment - the plant tolerates drought quite well. Reduce watering in winter.

🌱 Earth

Well-drained! Prefers slightly acidic soil. In alkaline/calcareous soil - fertilize regularly to prevent yellowing. Add compost and perlite to improve drainage.

🌡️ Temperature

Loves tropical heat! Ideal temperature 18-30°C. Sensitive to frost! In Israel - suitable for warm areas. In cold areas - grow in a pot and bring inside in the winter or protect from frost.

💛 Yellow leaves (chlorosis)

Common in alkaline/calcareous soil. Solution: Fertilize regularly with an acidic plant fertilizer or iron fertilizer. Add acidic compost. Can also be from overwatering.

The name "Pinwheel Flower" comes from the unique shape of the flowers - 5 white petals arranged like a pinwheel! The flowers are waxy and delicate, with a sweet scent that intensifies at night. There are varieties with single flowers and varieties with double flowers.

✂️ Pruning

When: In spring or after a wave of flowering.
How to: Remove faded flowers to encourage more blooms. Prune lightly to create a rounded, dense shape. Do not prune more than a third of the plant at a time.
Tip: The branches secrete a milky latex when cut - work with gloves!
