💧 Watering — The common mistake ▼

Dracaena Marginata is one of the most drought-tolerant plants — but very sensitive to over-watering. The most common mistake is watering "just so it doesn't run out."

The rule: Let the top 2–3 cm of soil dry out before watering again. In summer — every 7–10 days. In winter — every 2–3 weeks.

Brown leaf tips? A common sign of water with high fluoride/chlorine content, or excess fertilizer. Try rainwater or water that has sat out overnight.

Soil: Well-draining mixture — potting soil with 20–30% perlite. Dracaena does not tolerate heavy, wet soil.

Fertilizing: Balanced liquid fertilizer once every month or two during the growing season. The plant grows slowly and doesn't require frequent fertilizing.

Re-potting: Only once every 2–3 years — the plant likes being root-bound. When changing, increase the pot diameter by 2–3 cm.
