Detailed information on plant care
⭐ Growing conditions
lighting
Bright indirect light - about 6 hours a day. East, west or south window. Avoid direct sun through glass - may burn the leaves!
Irrigation
Water only when the soil is completely dry . As a succulent, aloe vera stores water in its leaves. Summer: Once a week | Winter: Once every two weeks.
temperature
Ideal: 13-27°C. Normal room temperature is fine. Do not expose to temperatures below 10°C.
moisture
Prefers dry air - normal humidity in the house is fine. No need to spray!
Flowerpot and soil
Clay (terracotta) pot with drainage hole - allows the soil to dry out and prevents rot. Mix for succulents and cacti with excellent drainage.
🔧 Common problems and solutions
🍂 Yellow or brown leaves
How to recognize: yellowing or browning of the leaves
Solution: Excessive watering or strong direct sun. Make sure the soil dries completely between waterings.
💧 Soft or watery leaves
How to identify: Leaves are limp and look "spongy"
Solution: A clear sign of overwatering or root rot. Stop watering and check roots.
🌱 Elongated and slender growth
How to recognize: The plant "elongates" towards the light
Solution: The plant is looking for light - move to a brighter place.
🔥 Brown edges
How to identify: The edges of the leaves turn brown
Solution: Direct sunlight or fluoride in tap water. Use filtered water or rainwater.

📍 Location tip
It is recommended to place the aloe vera in a high place or away from pets and small children. The white latex (not the gel) may cause nausea and diarrhea if chewed, but is not life-threatening to the pet - the symptoms are mild and pass within a few hours.
💡 Pro tip
Aloe vera produces "puppies" (small plants) from the base - you can gently separate them when they are 8-10 cm tall and plant them in a separate pot. After separating, wait a few days before watering for the first time so that the cut dries out. This way you will get new plants for free!
