❓ Which cactus will I receive?

One cactus from a mix. The species, shape, and spines are chosen at the time of packing, so the images are examples rather than a selection of a specific variety.

❓ How often should I water it?

Not on a fixed day. Check that the substrate is completely dry, water well until water runs out of the drainage hole, and empty the saucer. In winter, water much less.

❓ Can I put a cactus in a room without a window?

Not recommended. Most cacti need bright light, and without a lit window, they will become elongated and pale. If there is no choice, you will need specialized grow lights, not just room lighting.

❓ Is 5 cm the size of the plant?

No. 5 or 8 cm is the diameter of the grow pot. The plant's size and shape vary according to the species.

❓ When should I repot it into a larger container?

When the roots fill the pot or are growing out of the drainage hole. Move to a slightly larger pot with a drainage hole and cactus substrate, and work with gloves.

❓ The base of the cactus is becoming soft - why?

This is usually a sign of overwatering. Stop watering, check that water is draining properly, and that the substrate dries out. If the rot has spread, it is difficult to save the plant.
