Growing conditions
☀️ Lighting
Full sun to partial shade. 6-8 hours of light per day is ideal. Indoors - near a south or west window. The more light - the more blooms! Can tolerate partial shade but will bloom less.
💧 Irrigation
Keep the soil moist but not wet. Water when the top layer (1-2 cm) is dry. Jasmine tends to wilt quickly if it is too dry! Reduce watering in winter. Good drainage is essential.
💨 Humidity
Loves humidity! 50% and above. Inside - light daily spraying or a pebble tray with water. Very successful on balconies and outdoors in Israel thanks to the natural humidity.
🌡️ Temperature
18-27°C on an ideal day. Cool nights encourage flowering! Common jasmine is cold hardy to -10°C. In cold areas - protect in winter or bring inside. Keep away from cold drafts.
Common problems and solutions
🌸 Not blooming
Lack of light or cool nights! Jasmine needs a temperature difference between day and night to form buds. Make sure there is enough light and do not overheat in winter.
💛 Yellow leaves
Could be overwatering or underwatering. Check the soil! Cold drafts or lack of light can also cause yellowing. Make sure there is proper drainage.
🥀 Like a Misha
Jasmine wilts quickly when dry! Water immediately if the soil is dry. If the soil is wet and the plant wilts - root rot may occur from overwatering.
🐛 Pests
Susceptible to mealybugs (white lumps on stems). Solution: Wipe with cotton swab dipped in alcohol, or spray with neem oil. Pruning helps prevent.

Size: An impressive climber that can reach 6 meters or more! Grows 30-60 cm per year. Suitable for a trellis, pergola, fence, or a pot with support.

💡 Professional tips
Pruning: After flowering prune hard to encourage dense growth and richer blooms. Support: Provide a trellis or climbing wire.
