🍌 Sanzio Banana - The adorable banana necklace
A lovely spreading succulent with small banana-shaped leaves that grow along long, spreading stems. Looks like a green string of miniature bananas - a guaranteed WOW effect!
Comes from South Africa and is easier to grow than its sibling "String of Pearls" . The stems are thicker, the leaves are less sensitive, and the plant is more forgiving. The perfect choice for a hanging pot!
🏠 Excellent houseplant | Can grow outdoors in warm climates
✅ Recommended locations
⚠️ Avoid:
Small banana-shaped leaves that grow in long chains - an amazing decorative effect!
Thicker stems, less sensitive leaves, more forgiving of mistakes - a perfect alternative!
The stems can reach up to 90 cm in length - you will quickly get a full and lush pot!
Cut a stem, stick it in the ground - and that's it! Great for producing new plants and giving as gifts.
In good conditions it develops small white flowers with a sweet cinnamon scent!
The rule: let the soil dry completely between bags!
Summer: once a week or two
Winter: Once every 2-3 weeks
💡 "Bananas" wrinkle when thirsty - a clear sign of watering!
Bright indirect light = best!
6-8 hours of light per day. Direct morning sun - excellent.
⚠️ Strong midday sun through glass - you will burn!
Normal household humidity is great! No need to spray. In fact, too much humidity can cause rot.
15-27°C - Perfect normal room temperature. Does not tolerate cold below 10°C!
Must-have: Well-drained soil for cacti and succulents!
A pot with drainage holes. Do not plant in a pot that is too large.
Fertilization: Once a month in spring-summer, diluted by half.

🍌 In short
A lovely trailing succulent with leaves shaped like miniature bananas. Easier to grow than "string of pearls", grows quickly, and is easy to propagate . Perfect for a hanging pot or high shelf - the trailing stems create a dramatic effect!
💡 Tip: If the stems become long and thin - the plant needs more light! You can cut off the thin ends and stick them back into the soil to create a fuller plant.
